I just came back from one of the most amazing trips with my family. We went to one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in the world: Paris, for 3 days.
We visited all the major tourist attractions (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc De Triomphe, Versailles etc) and we also enjoyed the less popular places: just walking over the bridges of Seines on a beautiful sunny afternoon was pure delight.
We walked A LOT to see as much as we could, and to get to know the atmosphere of the city - I was so tired from all that walking at the end of every day! But it was worthed and the pictures don’t even show how tired we really were...
You say Paris, I say Eiffel Tower.
For the first time I climbed the Eiffel Tower and realised how tall it really was. I had only seen it in movies and photos. So being there, I felt like I was in a movie myself.
We visited the 4D cube at La Defense, and ended up staying there for more than 30 minutes, just resting, admiring the architecture and sculptures.
I was especially impressed with the Louvre (such a magical place or art and beauty) and Les Jardins et le parc de Versailles. I wish we could’ve stayed longer to spend a whole day in each one of these 2 places...
The food was nice, but ridiculously expensive. Since we were not very familiar with the city and didn’t know any locals to help us pick restaurants, we ate where most tourists do. I would’ve prefered a smaller, less crowded restaurant where people who live in Paris eat... but I can’t complain. I tried pate for the first time and I had a super sweet delicious crepe. The Parisian restaurant where we ate reminded me of Midnight in Paris.
Overall, the trip was the best experience, and I definitely plan on going back again. There’s something so romantic about Paris! I wish I could bring it home with me!
Here’s a list of what we visited:
